Dressings make or break a salad. Most store-bought varieties are high in sugar & preservatives which is why we love to whip up our own. These are our go-to recipes.
Simple Lemon & Mustard Vinaigrette
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1 Tsp Dijon mustard
- 2 Tsp honey or maple syrup
- 1 small cloves garlic, crushed
- Salt & pepper to taste
Put all ingredients in a jar & shake.
Miso & Sesame Vinaigrette
- ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
- 2 Tbsp fresh lime juice
- 2 Tbsp white miso
- 1 Tbsp tamari
- 1 Tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 Tsp toasted sesame oil
- 1 Tsp grated peeled ginger
Put all ingredients in a jar & shake.
Asian Dressing
- 4 Tblsp lime juice
- 3 Tblsp fish sauce
- 4 Tblsp maple syrup
- 2 Tsp sesame oil
- 4cm piece fresh ginger, finely grated
Put all ingredients in a jar & shake.
Herby Salsa Verde
- ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 bunch parsley
- 1 bunch of fresh basil
- 1 handful of fresh mint
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard
- 3 Tbsp red wine vinegar
Blend all the dressing ingredients in a blender or food processor. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Tahini Citrus Dressing
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- ¼ - ½ cup of water
- Salt & pepper to taste
Blend all the dressing ingredients in a blender or food processor. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Simple Satay
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1/3 cup water
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 teaspoon tamari or soy sauce
- 2 Tsp sesame oil
- 2 Tbsp coconut sugar
- 1 to 2 Tbsp fish sauce
- 2 limes, juiced
- 1/3 cup coconut milk
Blend all the dressing ingredients in a blender or food processor.
